A Mini Guide To Edinburgh
To coincide with the opening of our very first Edinburgh pop-up store, located in the beautiful Customs Lane gallery space in Leith, we’ve compiled a list of our favourite places in the local area.
Whether you’re searching for a mid-morning coffee break, some quirky interior inspiration, or a place to stay for the night, we've got you covered…
Famed for their glorious bread and pastries,
Twelve Triangles offers up some of the most delicious sweet and savoury treats.
The cosy bakery-come-café has just a handful of tables, so if you can’t
squeeze in, pick up something for the road.
A gift and lifestyle shop with
personality - Flux curates unusual pieces from UK makers as well as ethically
sourced wares from overseas. The colourful store is overflowing with unique gems - you're guaranteed to find a treasure to take home.
What's better than a perfect cup of coffee? A perfect cup of coffee served with a freshly baked almond croissant. At Quay Commons everything is made fresh on the day and, as a self-proclaimed
‘gathering space’, is the ideal place for a meet-up with friends.
If you weren’t looking for it, you might miss this Aladdin's cave. Tucked away in a secluded side-street, Georgian Antiques has 50,000 square feet to explore. From Victorian bookcases, to Edwardian
grandfather clocks – it’s the place to go for a keen interiors hunter.
The endearingly old-school décor of this waterfront
pub is enticing enough - on a Saturday night the place is
packed with locals and clued-up tourists. Choose from the extensive craft beer menu or sample one of their many Scottish gins - it would be rude not to!
With a reputation for being one
of Edinburgh’s best steakhouses, Chop House serves up mouth-watering cuts
of meat with equally tempting side dishes. Whether it’s an evening meal for two, or a Sunday lunch get together,
this one is for steak and roast dinner enthusiasts alike.
in the former Seaman’s Mission, the Malmaison hotel is ideally located on the waterfront
of Leith, in the company of some of the best bars and restaurants the area has
to offer. Ask for a front-facing room for harbour views and take a relaxing soak in your tartan (yes, really!) roll-top bath.
