If you haven't booked already, it's time to pack your bags and make the most of the Easter break!

From lazy getaways by the coast to bustling city mini breaks and long-haul adventures, here's a round up of our top Easter escapes along with the suitcase-ready styles to take with you on your travels...

    Coastal Staycation in... Kent

The stretch of Kentish shoreline which encompasses Whitstable, Deal, Margate and Broadstairs is challenging Cornwall for the title of Britain’s coolest coast.

Stay: In Georgian splendour with a chic, contemporary twist at The Shepherd House, which features Instagrammable interiors and an epic breakfast.

Eat: At the award-winning, Michelin-starred gastropub The Sportsman in Seasalter.

Hang out: The Turner Contemporary Gallery in Margate; Whitstable, with its pretty working harbour, artistic vibe, and café culture (plus oysters. This is the place to find – and eat – them.)

    City Break In... Valencia

What doesn’t Valencia have? An historic harbour, elegant Art Noveau buildings jostle alongside the startlingly futuristic Ciudad de las Artes, a beachy coastline, foodie-pleasing restaurants, stay-up-‘til-the-small-hours nightlife, boutique shopping, and a park which runs throughout the city.

Stay: At Hotel Balendret, with its Scandi-meets-seaside interiors and cool coastal views.

Eat: Street food, café life, dimly-lit restaurants - all worth sampling in this foodie city. Head to Casa Montaña in the old fisherman’s quarter – possibly the finest gastropub in Spain, or order paella at Le Pepica where Hemingway used to hang out.

Hang out: Get your bearings at the Plaza del Ayntamiento (all the main monuments and boutiques are within a 20-minute walk), then climb the steps (all 207 of them) of the Cathedral (with its bamboozling mix of architectural styles) bell tower at Plaza for sweeping city views.

Short-Haul Sunshine In... The Aeolian Islands

Perched off the coast of Sicily, the seven Aeolians are film-set stunning (so much so, the 1994 film Il Positano was filmed on Salina). Azure seas, craggy coastlines, a smouldering volcano, white sand beaches… Hire a boat and potter between them.

Stay: Base yourself at the uber-hip Hotel Raya on picture-perfect Panarea, with it’s whitewashed, bourganvillea-strewn houses.

Eat: Order the spaghetti al fuoco at Porto Bello on Salina. Hop to Filicudi for a lazy seafood lunch on the seafront terrace at Da Nino Sul Mare (also good for a star-lit supper). Make the hike uphll to Il Filippino on Lipari.

Hang out: Preferably on a boat, lazily island-hopping in between dips in the ocean.

    Long-Haul Adventure In... Zanzibar

Oh you, just the stuff of your every castaway fantasy, with its miles of power-white sand and turquoise seas…

Stay: With its thatched villas settled amongst tropical gardens, where you can stroll between palm-fringed beach and infinity pool, Green and Blue on the north-eastern tip of the spice island is your very own slice of paradise. (For a week, at least.)

Eat: Take your pick from the beachfront restaurants in Matemwe.

Hang out: Under the sea. The diving and snorkelling are world-class.
